DEFINITIONS

  1. 6.

In these Terms, the following meanings apply in addition to terms which are defined elsewhere in these Terms unless the contrary intention appears:

“App” means the Big Bash application for mobile phones.

“BKT Golden Tip” means a feature that allows an Entrant to nominate one Match in each Round as their BKT Golden Tip. If the Entrant records a Correct Tip for that Match, they will receive two (2) points instead of one (1) point. Entrants may change their BKT Golden Tip selection at any time before the selected Match commences. Entrants are not required to nominate a BKT Golden Tip for a Round. However, if an Entrant does not nominate a BKT Golden Tip before the commencement of all Matches in that Round, no BKT Golden Tip will apply for that Round and the Entrant will not be eligible to receive any BKT Golden Tip bonus points for that Round.

“Correct Tip” means a correct tip for a Match as defined in clause 14.

“Cumulative Margin” means, in respect of an Entrant, the sum of the Margin Differences for all Rounds as at a particular date.

“Entrant” means a person who is eligible to participate in (as determined by clause 4) and has submitted an entry into the Promotion in accordance with these Terms.

“Group” means a group of individuals consisting of two or more people, which have agreed to enter the Promotion as a ‘group’.

“Judging Location” means the premises located at 60 Jolimont St, East Melbourne, VIC 3002.

“Leaderboard” means the Promotion’s overall ladder of Entrants ranking.

“Margin Difference” in respect of a Margin Game means the difference between the number of sixes nominated by the Entrant for that Match and the actual number of sixes hit for that Match (e.g. if an Entrant nominates that 14 sixes will be hit in total in the Margin Game, and the actual number of sixes hit is 20, their ‘Margin Difference’ for the Match will be 6). If the Entrant has not submitted a margin, they will be allocated a prediction of 0, and therefore a Margin Difference equal to the number of sixes hit for that Match.

“Margin Game” means the first Match of each Round in the Season. For the purposes of calculating Margin Difference, only sixes scored during the regular scheduled Match will be counted. Sixes scored in any Super Over will not be included.

    “Match” means a single game of Women’s Big Bash League which is conducted during the Season;

“Round” means one of the competition rounds conducted during the Season.

“Score” means the number of points allocated to an Entrant for their Correct Tips.

“Season” means all Round competition rounds comprising of the 2026 Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL12) regular season.

“WBBL Team” means a team competing in the Women’s Big Bash League.

“Website” means the website of the Promoter at tipping.bigbash.com.au, which is accessible on the internet through the World Wide Web or via mobile internet enabled devices.

“Winning Team” for a Match means, subject to clause 16, the team playing that Match with the higher score at the conclusion of that Match, including any super over where necessary (as determined in the Promoter’s sole discretion).

ENTRY CONDITIONS

  1. 7.
To register for the Promotion Entrants must during the Promotion Period register their details via the on-line registration form located on the Website or App.
  2. 8.
The Promoter reserves the right not to accept a registration for any Entrant or to disqualify an Entrant if the Promoter considers that the registration contains anything defamatory or is otherwise inappropriate.
  3. 9.
An Entrant may only register as a natural person.
  4. 10.

Entrants will have the opportunity, in respect of each Match in each Round of the Season, to tip by:

    1. a.
selecting a team that the Entrant expects will win the Match (a tie cannot be selected); and
    2. b.
submitting those selections via the Website or App at which they registered (selections for each Match must be submitted before the scheduled start time of the relevant Match).
  5. 11.
An Entrant may make or change a tip for a given Match in a Round at any time prior to the scheduled starting time of that Match.
  6. 12.
Entrants will have the opportunity, in respect of the first Match in each Round of the Season, to tip by selecting the team that the Entrant expects to win and also including the margin by predicting the number of sixes scored in the respective match for the Margin Game.

FAILURE TO TIP

  1. 13.

    If an Entrant:

    1. a.
      does not submit a tip for a single Match in a Round, then the Entrant’s tip for that Match will be deemed to be for the team determined, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, to be the least popular selection for all users that submitted a tip;
      does not submit a tip for multiple Matches in a Round, the Entrant’s tips for that Round will be deemed to be those of the teams determined, in the Promoter’s sole discretion, to be the least popular selection for all users that submitted a tip, to a maximum of four (4) correct tips for that Round;
    2. b.
enters the Promotion after the commencement of the first Round of the Season, then the Entrant will not receive any points for Rounds they were not signed up for.

SCORING

  1. 14.

An Entrant will have a “Correct Tip” for a particular Match where:

    1. a.
the Entrant entered a tip for that Match in accordance with clause 10 and the team the Entrant tipped to win the Match is the Winning Team; or
    2. b.
subject to the limits in clause 13, the Entrant received an Auto Tip for that Match in accordance with clause 13 and the least popular selection for all users that submitted a tip for that Match is the Winning Team.
  2. 15.
Entrants will be allocated one point for each Correct Tip for a Match (except for correct selections where a user's BKT Golden Tip applies, where 2 points are awarded per Correct Tip).
  3. 16.

In the event of a Match in a given Round being tied (not including Matches tied at the end of regular innings and then completed under super overs), cancelled, abandoned, not completed or not played for any reason and WBBL does not officially declare a result within one (1) day of the original scheduled date of the Match, both teams shall be treated as being a Winning Team in respect of that Match.

If an Entrant has selected that Match as their BKT Golden Tip, the Entrant's BKT Golden Tip will automatically be reallocated to the Match in that Round that has received the highest selection percentage (at the time of reallocation) from all Entrants, provided the Entrant has selected the same team to win that Match. If the Entrant has not selected the same team to win that Match, the BKT Golden Tip will be reallocated to the Match with the next highest selection percentage from all Entrants for which the Entrant has selected the same team to win. This process will continue until a valid Match is identified and allocated as the Entrant's BKT Golden Tip.

Where a Margin Game is tied, cancelled, abandoned, not completed or not played and no official result is declared in accordance with this clause, all Entrants will be allocated a Margin Difference of zero (0) for that Margin Game.

OVERALL RANKING

  1. 17.
Throughout the Season, the Promoter will maintain a leaderboard which ranks the Entrants from highest to lowest based on their Scores (“Leaderboard”). To determine the ranking of two or more Entrants that have an equal Score, the Entrant with the lower Cumulative Margin will rank higher. If two or more Entrants remain tied after application of the Cumulative Margin tie-break, the Entrant who first registered for the Promotion during the Promotion Period will rank higher.
  2. 18.

The Leaderboard is prepared and updated based on the information provided to the Promoter by each Entrant. Therefore, it may:

    1. a.
include scores of entrants who are participating in the Competition but are not eligible Entrants in the Promotion or who may otherwise be disqualified by the Promoter (as set out in these Terms); and
    2. b.
      may contain inaccuracies.
  3. 19.
Subject to clause 62, the Leaderboard is provided “as is” and without any warranties or guarantees as to accuracy and the Promoter is not responsible or liable for any reliance on the Leaderboard.

  1. 20.
The Prize per Round for each Round is a Official Cricket Australia Shop online voucher (valued at $200) and a KFC voucher (valued at $100) (“ Round Prize”).

MINORS

  1. 40.
If an Entrant is under 18 years of age, they must have their parent or guardian's consent to enter the Promotion and the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms. The Promoter reserves the right to request evidence of this consent in writing. GENERAL

  1. 44.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries/tips/registrations and Entrants (including an Entrant's identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any Entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry/registration/tipping process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  2. 45.
If there is a dispute as to the identity of an Entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the Entrant.
  3. 46.
The total prize pool for this promotion is estimated to be valued at $13,000.00.
  4. 47.

  5. 48.
Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and if they are non-cash prizes they may not be redeemed for cash.
  6. 49.
Judging of all prizes will be conducted by a representative of the Promoter.
  7. 50.
The Promoter's decision for all prizes in this Promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. 51.
For the purpose of this Promotion, a Group is treated as a single Entrant. If a Group is the winner of a prize, only one prize is awarded to the Group. The Promoter will determine which member of a winning Group the prize is awarded to in their absolute discretion, and that member will be required to share the prize equally with all other members of the Group. The Group and the individuals which make up the Group are solely responsible for its actions relating to the Promotion (including any tips submitted). The Promoter is not required to make any enquiry in relation to the validity of any action of any person forming part of the Group. An individual which forms part of a Group that has entered this Promotion is deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
  9. 52.
Incomplete, indecipherable and incorrect entries/registrations/tips or entries/registrations/tips containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win.

It is a condition of taking a prize that the winner must, if requested to do so by the Promoter, sign and return documents relating to their eligibility to enter (including ownership of entry), statement of compliance with relevant terms and conditions and/or a release of the Promoter's liability in taking prizes.
  11. 54.
If this Promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, or postponement, variation or cancellation of the WBBL competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
  12. 55.
The Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change or amend the WBBL fixture without notice. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the cancellation or delay of any cricket match connected with this Promotion for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter.
  13. 56.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries, registrations or tips not received for any reason during the Promotion. Registrations, entries and tips will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected registrations, tips or entries. The Promoter is not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.
  14. 57.
If the Promoter is unable to provide a winner with the nominated prize, the Promoter reserves the right to supply an alternative prize of similar monetary value, subject to any written directions given by State gaming departments.
  15. 58.
Any Entrant who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry mechanism in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process, will be ineligible to win.
  16. 59.
Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
  17. 60.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify registrations, entries and/or tips in the event of non-compliance with these Terms. Notwithstanding the Promoter's rights under these Terms to not accept or to subsequently disqualify a Entrant, the Promoter will not be liable for any legal action arising out of any Group name being defamatory, inappropriate, in breach of any third party's rights, or in breach of any law, and any persons forming part of that Group must indemnify the Promoter, its agents, contractors and related companies from any legal action, claim or dispute arising directly or indirectly from any Group name being defamatory, inappropriate, in breach of any third party's rights, or in breach of any law.
  18. 61.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as part of the Promotion including prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its employees and agents are not liable for any loss or damage (including indirect and consequential loss or damage), including where such loss or damages arises in connection with:

    1. a.
      an Entrant's entry or tips not being received or which are received and subsequently corrupted or rejected by a server of the Website;
    2. b.
      any private or public tipping competition which uses or relies upon the Website in any way as a means for collecting and disbursing data, or for conducting a tipping competition;
    3. c.
      any lost, misdirected or corrupt registrations, entries, tips or emails whether to or from the Website or otherwise;
    4. d.

any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained:

      1. i.
in connection with an Entrant's participation in the Promotion or the taking of a place, except that which cannot be excluded by law; and/or
      2. ii.
relating to the conduct of the Promotion however caused, including failure of the Website or incorrect or corrupt data supplied by the Promoter to Entrant.
  19. 62.
If the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other legislation states that there is a guarantee in relation to any good or service supplied by the Promoter in connection with the Promotion or these Terms, and the Promoter’s liability for failing to comply with that guarantee cannot be excluded but may be limited, clause 61 (and any other provision of these Terms that purports to limit the Promoter’s liability) does not apply to that liability. Instead, the Promoter’s liability for that failure is limited to (at the election of the Promoter), in the case of a supply of goods, the Promoter replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods or repairing the goods, or paying the cost of replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods or repairing the goods, or in the case of a supply of services, the Promoter supplying the services again or paying the cost of having the services supplied again.
  20. 63.
Information about Entrants is used by the Promoter to assess and process registration in the Promotion. If an Entrant does not provide the required information, the Promoter cannot process the registration. All registrations/entries become the property of the Promoter and will be entered into a database.
